Caring for the environment

Sustainable schooling – caring for the environment in an on-going way – is very important at Wallarano. We are developing students who are becoming increasingly aware of environmentally friendly practices in the areas of energy, waste, and water saving. The school has installed rainwater tanks across the school and is saving thousands of litres of water each year. All classrooms use paper recycling bins, we have a regular cardboard recycling bin collection and co-mingled recycling bins and children are also encouraged to use re-usable containers for their food.
