At Wallarano Primary School, we are committed to supporting every student to achieve their full potential. Our Intervention and Enrichment Programs provide targeted support for students requiring additional assistance, while also offering opportunities for students to be challenged and extended.
Our dedicated Intervention Team works collaboratively to provide targeted support in Literacy and Numeracy, helping students build confidence, bridge learning gaps and achieve their goals. A dedicated education support team member delivers MiniLit in Years 1 and 2 to strengthen foundational literacy skills, while MacqLit is implemented across Years 3 to 6 to further support reading development. Our Wallarano Reading Advancement Program (WRAP) provides valuable one-on-one literacy support through the dedication of our wonderful volunteer tutors.
We also offer a range of enrichment opportunities, including participation in the Victorian High-Ability Program (VHAP) for selected students in Years 5 and 6, science extension for senior students, and literacy and numeracy enrichment in Years 2 and 4. These programs encourage students to think deeply, develop their skills and embrace exciting learning challenges.
